Came home and found Dollhouse is cancelled and I sure as all FUCK blame Fox. Why did they green light the show just to dump it on the Friday Night Death Slot? Why did they bring it back just to smother it some more by NOT PROMOTING the show: wrong times, wrong air dates, mixed messages that made fans nervous and the media assume the worst, sending Eliza out on interviews THREE WEEKS into the second season with one interviewer--ON YOUR OWN NETWORK--who didn't even know the new season had premiered?

It doesn't make any god damned sense. Either Fox is entirely fucking incompetent or else they always wanted the show dead (Joss did say they were never comfortable with FUNDAMENTAL aspects of the series).

I really, really home there's a possibility Dollhouse can continue on another network. It's too good a show. As much as people BAWW about Firefly, it was never more than a fun show. Dollhouse makes me think. It makes ME uncomfortable, and that's damn hard to do.

Damnit. I decided to write a paper on Dollhouse for my English class. Now it's going to be really depressing =(

EDIT: Who wants to take bets on how long it'll take until people start saying, "Gee, Dollhouse was such a great show, why'd it get cancelled?"

Gonna have to rewatch this and organize my thoughts. Not OMG AMAZING but not OMG UTTER CRAP, either. And a lot of WTH moments (in good and bad ways).

Though, ( SPOILER ) made sense while I simultaneously WTF'd and have the urge to mock House for the rest of eternity.

Mad Men has a lot of well-written female characters, but Peggy is just a complete badass.
